Day Eight: Psalm 8- How Majestic is the Lord

Good Morning,
Here is Psalm 8 New International Version (NIV)! ENJOY!!!!!
For the director of music. According to gittith. A psalm of David.
Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
You have set your glory
    in the heavens.
Through the praise of children and infants
you have established a stronghold against your enemies,
to silence the foe and the avenger.
When I consider your heavens,
    the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,
what is mankind that you are mindful of them,
human beings that you care for them?
You have made them a little lower than the angels[e]
and crowned them with glory and honor.
You made them rulers over the works of your hands;
you put everything under their feet:
all flocks and herds,
and the animals of the wild,
the birds in the sky,
and the fish in the sea,
all that swim the paths of the seas.
Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
The Praise Challenge Begins:
This Psalm echoes so many reasons why one should praise the Lord! First, verse one and nine speak of “How majestic is your (God’s) name in all of the earth.” Someone or something that is majestic has the characteristics by or possessing majesty (dictionary.com).  In short, majesty speaks of God’s supreme greatness and authority. Second, God is so powerful that He “has set his glory in heaven.” There is no other man or being able to do this. What or who can compare to the greatness of God? Nothing and no one! Verse three tells us that God’s fingers put the moon and stars in the sky. Again, who or what can do anything like that? Wow, God you are amazing and worthy of all of the praise! I stand in awe of you! It’s those same fingers that heal the sick, touch the broken-hearted, and set captives free! God is good, and we should praise Him!
Psalm 8 speaks of the power of praise. Verse two says that “through the praise of children and infants you have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger”. Let me break this down. Child/infant praise establishes a stronghold and or defense against enemies and or foe.  The foe is the Devil, demons, and or people. Nevertheless, the concept of praise is important! How can we use it as a defense?
I think that childlike praise would also have the same effect or line of defense at ANY AGE.  It's all about perspective in my opinion. Dictionary.com refers to “defense” as a resistance against an attack and protection. So, you mean having a childlike uninhibited praise helps establish a stronghold of defense against enemies. The kind of praise you hear at a football game with hooting and hollering, that I don't care who is looking praise that shouts: God You are good! Yes! This praise can take place anywhere: at home, in your car, in church etc. Just abandon yourself in God’s presence and praise Him!
Finally, verse four tells us that God is mindful of mankind and that He cares for us. It continues on telling us that He has sent His son Jesus, and that God has put everything under His feet. Romans 16:20 says that “God of peace will soon crush Satan under our feet.”  This is quite rad and another reason why God is worthy of all our praise. Hmm. I guess it's time to do some stomping praise right about now!
So, Psalm 8 was delightful! Right? Tell me about it!
